Our Story
He has done great things!

In 2019, God brought Maria into my life. When we met, I was impressed with her love for the Lord Jesus Christ and for others in her community. Maria had been doing ministry for many years as a public school teacher, mother, and grandmother. After many months, it was clear that God had brought us together. On August 1, 2019, we married and began our new ministry in a small village near La Ceiba.
Our Ministry
A New Kind of Dad ministries began with the vision of helping men become Biblical fathers who loved God, and their families. One of the greatest needs is a Godly man in the home.
In Honduras, half of the children that we minister to live in a home without any male influence. Sadly, many men make babies, then abandon the family. Often, the mother and children live in poverty. When we talk about our Heavenly Father, many of the kids relate negatively. They associate the word “father” with someone who is never there for them.
As I prayed for direction, God impressed upon me these words, “Reach down and Build up. Tell them about a Father that will never leave them nor forsake them.” In that moment, God changed our direction.

Since most people come to Christ before the age of 20, we are aggressively trying to reach kids with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Each Saturday, children come to hear about Jesus. We engage them with songs of worship, memory verses, and a Bible lesson that will encourage them to know Jesus, love Jesus and walk with Jesus.
We've been blessed to see many of the children come to faith in Christ. We call our ministry center "Casa de Luz" which means a Home of Light.

Sunday School Teacher Training

Each participating church receives materials, crafts, and lessons. Each month, the teachers come for training and fellowship. We have 23 churches and over 1000 children in attendance. Children walking with Jesus.
Kids on Saturday Outreach

Each Saturday, children come to the Discipleship center for a time of worship, Bible study, and discipleship. They come with empty stomachs and leave full.
Community Outreach

Each Christmas, we reach out into our community to touch lives. Inflation has hit us hard. Prices on beans & rice and other food staples have more than doubled.
Church Ministries
We are called to share the gospel and make disciples. God is using our Sunday School program to help our participating churches in fulfilling the great commission. 23 churches are using our lessons. Our goal is to teach the children and youth to walk with God. Recently, one church baptized 6 new believers.

We are partners with Iglesia Cristiana de una Esperanza Templo 1 & 2.
They have planted two new churches in the last 8 months. Templo 4 is in San Marcos, a remote village in the mountains. They community doesn't have a local church. We found that most of the children had never heard of Jesus. The first service had 60 in attendance. Because, we don't have a pastor, we go every other Saturday. The next week, over 100 people came and 65 were saved. Last service, almost 200 came to hear the gospel.

God has provided land so that construction can start soon.

This place is full of people gathered to hear the good news. Children gather on the outer part of the property to hear a Bible lesson and memorize Scripture.
Pastor Noe lead his youth group to memorize scripture. 60 kids participated in a
3 day memory contest. All 60 memorized 20 verses each. That is 1,200 verses that are hidden in their hearts.

Family Conference Live
My passion is to help couples build strong marriages and encourage men to become Biblical dads. This mission is not only inspired by personal convictions but also by the evident impact that strong family units have on individuals and society as a whole. A strong marriage provides a foundation for stability, love, and growth. Couples who invest in their relationship create an environment where both partners can thrive emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. This, in turn, sets a positive example for their children, teaching them the values of commitment, communication, and mutual respect.
A Biblical dad leads by example, demonstrating virtues such as integrity, humility, and compassion. By living out these values, fathers set a standard for their children to follow. In Honduras, fifty percent of the children in our area live in a single-parent home. Without a father in the home, statistics show that children are more likely to experience economic hardship, academic difficulties, behavioral problems, mental health issues, and increased risk of crime and incarceration. These challenges highlight the critical role of fathers in children's lives.
The journey towards building strong marriages and encouraging Biblical fatherhood is a rewarding endeavor with far-reaching benefits. As couples strengthen their bonds, they create a nurturing environment for their children. Fathers who embrace their roles positively influence their children's lives, mitigating risks and fostering growth. By investing in families, we empower future generations to lead lives filled with purpose, love, and stability.
